Hey there, beauties! Today, we will be laying emphasis on something rather important and impactful, i.e. HABIT. Your habits and practices shape you as a person, there are books that talk only about your habits and self-discipline so it is actually more impactful on our lives than we give it credit for. So here are 10 things you should probably adapt as a daily ritual to become the best version of yourself.
1.Meditate
I know, it sounds boring and lousy but 5 minutes of your day is all it takes to have more discipline, peace of mind and self-control and many other very good attributes. You don’t have to follow a guru or chant a verse, all you need is time and a serene place. Close your ends and try to think positive for 5 minutes, or better, try to clear out all thoughts and open your eyes with a more positive perspective to the world.
2.Show Gratitude
You may not be content in life because you always want something more, something better and the path to betterment is by showing gratitude and being thankful for what you do today and what you have, who you have in life right now.
3. Write Down Your Thoughts
Writing down what you want in life, in present tense form (as if you already have it) will take you one step closer to your goals. This is a form of using the law of attraction which is called acting as if, it will make your goal more specific and give you clarity on what you really want in life and push you towards working for it.
4. Connect and Form a Network
Keith Ferrazzi, author of never eat alone, wrote only about networking and connections that will impact your business and work life in a huge and positive way. Having connections in business is the key to success, it’s what we call, people power.
5. Read A Book Every Week
The biggest CEOS and successful people of the world, don’t watch 3 seasons of gossip girl in one week (guilty), they read as many books in a week. to start you one book a week is what you should aim for, and it is not that hard as it sounds. 6. Eat well and Eat Healthily
An average person eats about 500-600 calories, or more, in junk every day. This is not about losing weight and having a beach body, your nutrition shapes your body as well as your mind, you are what you eat as they say. Great people, who are conscious of their actions eat no more than 300 calories in junk a day, which is a great balance, between “diet or healthy food” and indulging.
7. Invest in Yourself
The biggest and best investments you can make are things that will help you grow and help you become the best version of yourself. Be it a book, or a dress you feel more confident in, a red lipstick, a purchase that will benefit you in the future, all of these may take you a step closer to your goal.
8. Commute Habits – Podcast
Drop that Rap music and EDM for a while, listen to the podcasts and speeches on the people who are where you want to be. You want to be the top blogger in a certain industry? Listen to someone who already is, talking about their experiences and their success and failure. 9. Smile
Lose the grim face and keep your vibrations high all the time, keep a grin on your face, with random people on the street a nice day, it will help you have a nice day too! Your vibrations and what you are feeling impacts your performance in the workplace.
10. Take a Social Break
Every night, switch off your phone 2 hours before bed, you don’t need to know where your colleague is going on summer vacations, your eyes need rest. Give it the rest it deserves and reward yourself with a social media detox every night.. These 10 things will result in a lot of great things in your life, your habits shape you after all, don’t they? Have habits such that will help shape you into the best version possible of yourself!
Love all these ideas! I definitely need to read more, I’ve been trying to get into the habit of at least reading a few books a month. I am also a podcast lover! I don’t have a commute, but I like to listen to a few podcasts, especially those in my field.
